Welcome to the wondrous world of Henna Brows.
What are Henna Brows?
Henna brows are a form of eyebrow tinting that is used to stain the skin beneath the brow hairs. The purpose of this is to cast a shadow or create an illusion of depth and fullness in the area, visually filling in any sparseness. Henna is a natural dye made from a plant known as hina or the henna tree.
How long do henna eyebrows last?
The results of henna brows typically last between 2-4 weeks, but it's dependent on your skin type. If you have a dryer complexion, henna brows will tend to last a bit longer than they would on someone with an oily complexion.
What is the difference between henna brows and tinting?
The difference between regular tinting and henna brows is that with regular tinting the tint only stains the skin for a couple of days, whereas henna can last on the skin for up to two weeks. Eye Brow Tinting is designed to color the hair of the brows directly.
Brow Hair Tinting
Unlike shaping waxing, threading, or tweezing, brow Hair tinting is a color service that doesn't take away any hair (although you can do so in conjunction with hair removal) but uses semi-permanent vegetable dye to enhance color, shape, and thickness — or all of the above. The benefits are immediate.
How long does it last?
Brow hair Tints typically last 4-6 weeks, but it can vary from person to person. Some clients see the tint start to fade after two to three weeks. You can help extend your dye job by keeping brows moisturized.
Tinting can be applied every 4-6 weeks. Client should avoid oil based moisturizers, face washes and any oil based face products for it will break down the tint faster. It is perfectly fine and safe to take a shower after tinting.
